A deep maroon purple and ivory colour body shot through with a golden jaari with mirror work in toned border, woven on a pit loom over eleven days. Light enough to wear from the morning puja through to dinner.

• Small irregularities in the weave are the mark of a handloom, not a flaw

• Dry clean only for the first three washes
• Store folded in muslin, away from direct light
• Refold every few months so creases rest in new places
• Iron on low heat on the reverse; never iron zari directly
